STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN PEMBIBITAN MANGROVE DESA PEBOTOA KECAMATAN BUMI RAYA KABUPATEN MOROWALI SULAWESI TENGAH

Abstract

Pebotoa Village is one of the coastal villages that has natural resources potential enough to be developed, one of which is a mangrove ecosystem with rhizophora mucronata type. However, mangrove areas have decreased in area due to disturbances such as logging, the transfer of mangrove functions to fish ponds, settlements and agricultural land. The purpose of the research is to develop a mangrove nursery development strategy in Pebotoa Village, Bumi Raya District, Morowali Regency. This research has been conducted in Pebotoa Village through the Rhizophora mucronata mangrove nursery process with observations in the field, analysis of development strategies carried out data collection stages, identification of internal and external factors, qualitative approach of SWOT matrix, quantitative approach of SWOT analysis, and decision-making stage of SWOT analysis results. Based on the results of research, pebotoa village mangrove nursery is feasible to run because the position of mangrove nursery business based on SWOT analysis of the position of the mangrove nursery business of Pebotoa Village is in Quadrant II which means that the mangrove breeding business of Pebotoa Village faces various weaknesses but has great opportunities so it needs to change strategy by using the W-O (Weakness-Opportunity) strategy which aims to minimize weaknesses with Take advantage of external opportunities.
